SIDI IS A SHOOTING STAR ON THE ROADS OF THE TOUR DE FRANCE - FROOME IN YELLOW, KITTEL IN GREEN. ARU, BARDET AND URAN ARE ALL STILL JOSTLING FOR FINAL VICTORY.
Stage after stage the Tour de France continues to deliver plenty of excitement. After the Pyrenees, the race has made it to its second day of rest, before setting off yet again towards the intense final week of competition. Contenders will have to cross the Alps before reaching the final podium in Paris.
For now Sidi is looking down on all their competition from the top of the standings. The true stars in the 2017 Tour are all champions from the Sidi stables. And there is a battle going on in the Sidi house: at Peyragudes Fabio Aru (Astana) swiped the yellow jersey from Chris Froome (Team Sky), but two days later at Rodez the Brit went on to take it back with amazing determination. These are two faces, two men, two champions, two different styles, two different shoes, but they share only one heart, Sidi’s heart. Froome uses the Sidi Shot shoe, while Fabio Aru chose the Sidi Wire. These two models represent the very best of Sidi’s road cycling line. There is only a matter of seconds separating the two champions. At the moment Froome is in command with an 18” advantage over the Italian, and the classification is still wide open. In third place at 23” is Frenchman Romain Bardet (Ag2r), who won the stage at Peyragudes. Colombian Rigoberto Uran (Cannondale-Drapac) is in fourth place at 29”, after coming in first across the finish line in Chambery. And then Spain’s Mikel Landa, who is sixth at 1’17”, is helping his captain, Chris Froome; however he has proven that he has the legs it takes to make a play for the podium as well. Not to mention Poland’s Michal Kwiatkowski; he’s far behind the big names in the rankings but every day he is ahead of the pack, working hard to help Froome to win. All these champions and many other major players in the pack at the Grande Boucle are riding with and relying on Sidi and their shoes.
Yet these are not Sidi’s only achievements. How could we forget Germany’s Marcel Kittel (Quick-Step Floors), the king of the sprints in this Tour, who has already won five fantastic stages and who is currently also wearing the green jersey for the points’ classification, which he intends to hold on to all the way to Paris. So that’s 2 jerseys, the yellow and green, plus 9 fabulous stage victories. These are the rewards Sidi has reaped up to now…but the road to Paris is still going to be a long haul, and Sidi and its champions are still hungry for the big wins.

Sidi Size Guide
*Customers switching to Sidi Shoes or from Sidi;s more than 5 years old, may not wear the same size. All Sidi's, except for winter shoes, are built on the same last, but differences in patterns and materials so keep this in mind when switching between Sidi models. Every Sidi Shoe (except triathlon models) from 2002 onwards is stamped with its size and last type (and M indicates Mega or W indicates women's), Usually on the tongue.
Standard Width is considered as a D width
Mega = EE shoe fit 4mm of extra space across the ball of the foot. If you have high-volume orthotics you may feel more comfortable in a mega shoe.
Women fits - "Women specific" shoes are a narrower and smaller version of the regular fit option. The heel and ankle areas have also been narrowed.
How do I know if its a good fit?
Some people have narrow heels, if you know this to be true we recommend getting a shoe with a heel retention device. This will allow the heel to be narrowed.
Is it too small? If you stand up with your shoes on and your toes are touching the front, your shoe is small. You don't want any toes touching the front of the shoe, this will create hot or numb toes on long rides. You want to be able to wiggle your toes a bit, but not feel like they are "sloshing around"
Tip* Try on your new Sidi Shoes with the cycling socks you normally wear
If the shoe doesn't fit? Don't worry, we offer a 1 free resize policy to make sure you are very comfortable on your bike
